In a study of 200 thousand smokers, e-cigarettes reduced the risk of heart disease by 34%.

  * Smoking is harmful to health, minors are prohibited from using e-cigarettes, non-smokers are not recommended to use e-cigarettes*

A new study in the International Journal of Cardiology Circulation shows that cigarette smokers who switch to electronic cigarettes completely reduce their risk of heart disease by 34%. Another paper, published on Cochrane, an international healthcare academic website, by Oxford, the University of Auckland and Queen Mary University of London, jointly with the British National Institutes of Health and Cancer Research, also believes that e-cigarettes are safer and more effective ways to quit smoking than nicotine replacement therapy.
Recently, a new study published in the International Journal of Cardiology Circulation said that after analyzing the data of 32,000 adult tobacco users, the evaluators pooled the data of e-cigarette users and traditional cigarette users. When combined with the incidence of a disease in the population, the results showed that there was a clear association between the use of traditional cigarettes and heart disease, which was 1. 8 times higher than that of nonsmokers, while there was no clear association between the use of e-cigarettes and heart disease.
Another study collected data from 175,546 respondents in the United States who participated in the annual National Health Interview Survey between 2014 and 2019. The analysis also found that full use of e-cigarettes did not increase the risk of heart disease. Diane Caruan, an in-house correspondent for International E-Cigarette News, reported on a study titled “Tobacco Use Disorders and Cardiovascular Fitness” that suggested that quitting smoking or using e-cigarettes entirely could reverse the incidence of a disease and chronic cardiovascular disease relatively quickly. Smokers who switched completely to e-cigarettes reduced their risk of heart disease by 34%.
A joint study by the University of Oxford, the University of Auckland, the Queen Mary University of London, the National Institutes of Health and Cancer Research UK, published on the international healthcare academic website Cochrane “Electronic cigarettes for smoking cessationWe systematically studied the effectiveness, endurance, and safety of e-cigarettes in helping smokers achieve long-term cessation.
Seventy-eight completed studies involving 22 052 participants were included in this study, which included 40 random experiments and 38 non-random experiments. Through research, there is significant evidence that smoking cessation rates in the group randomized to nicotine e-cigarette therapy are much higher than in the group randomized to nicotine replacement therapy ( RR 1.63,95% CI 1.30 to 2.04; I²= 10%;6 studies with 2378 participants); The results of non-randomized studies were consistent with the results of randomized studies, which showed that e-cigarettes had higher smoking cessation rates.
The researchers said that there was no evidence of serious harm from nicotine e-cigarettes during the experiment, and that compared to nicotine replacement therapy, e-cigarettes have a higher smoking cessation rate and can effectively help smokers quit for at least six months.
