New York City Files Suit Against Distributors of Illegally Sold vape Online

Recently, New York City Mayor Eric Adams and New York City Lawyers Muriel Goode-Trufant announced that the city has filed a federal lawsuit against a major one-time flavored e-cigarette distributor.
Defendant is Price Point Distributors, Inc., headquartered in Farmingdale, Long Island — The distributor is accused of directly distributing e-cigarettes in flavors such as ice cream, strawberry cream cake and Hawaiian juice through online channels to retail stores and consumers in New York City and across the country, violating nearly all applicable federal, state and New York City laws governing the sale of such products.
The lawsuit seeks to stop Price Point Distributors, Inc. from further selling these illegal e-cigarettes and seeks monetary damages and fines.
New York City Mayor Adams said, “Today’s lawsuit alleges that PricePoint Distributors knew it was illegal to sell flavored e-cigarettes to New Yorkers and even took steps to conceal those illegal sales from federal, state and local authorities. This lawsuit and our ongoing efforts to close illegal smoke shops complement the work our administration is doing to reduce the overall crime rate in the city.”

                               * Smoking is harmful to health, minors are prohibited from using e-cigarettes, non-smokers are not recommended to use e-cigarettes*
